EARLY BIRD PRICING: $69 $49 per person til August 31st
One tiebreaker. One month to complete them. Endurance, Speed, Power, Strength. We wanted to eradicate any arbitrary or gatekeeping measure of strength or aerobic capacity (500/5min mile, 6/6/6 challenge, etc) and create an open and accessible yearly measure of overall fitness. We want to challenge all athletes of all levels to push to their outer limits and pursue their best performance, as everyone else around the world does the same.
PRO and SCALED
SCALED: This division is for all levels of athlete, including hikers, new cyclists, and anyone new to lifting. 2 hour endurance run, 24kg men/12kg women kettlebell weight.
PRO: This division is for all levels of athlete who consider themselves experienced in running, cycling, lifting, or both (ie, less skill development required to achieve performance goals, not that you're actually pro). 6 hour endurance run, kettlebell weight 32kg men/24kg women.
No matter your fitness level, you can participate.
Test your top-end strength.
Within a month, max out all 5 lifts and add the total together to create your "Supertotal"; where do you match up with other hybrid athletes around the world?
Test your sprint power.
You've got 30 seconds to leave it all out there. Ready for 30 seconds to feel longer than it ever has in your entire life?
Test your muscular endurance.
Learn how to perform a kettlebell longcycle, alternating one-arm, and do as many reps as you can in 30 minutes. Set the kb down and you're done. Can you last all 30?
Test your endurance.
Using your feet or a bicycle (other scaling options available upon request), hit the road or trail for 2 or 6 hours to try and go further, faster, than anyone else in the world. Think you've got it in you?
HAVE ANOTHER EVENT?
You can use your results from another race or sanctioned lifting/KB meet as your submission for the Crucible, as long as the dates fall between October 1st and October 31st.
With cash prizes on the line for a completely virtual race, it's worth doing both. In our opinion, anyway.
